Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program When: May 25 to September 7
Ages: Kindergarten-6th grade
Requirement: Read any eight books and fill out a brief B&N reading journal.
Rewards: Choose a free book from a list of 25 titles (Spanish titles also available)

Kick-Off Party: Tuesday, June 1st at 4:30 pm and Saturday, June 12 at 1:00 pm featuring activities, games, and crafts from 39 Clues, Wimpy Kid, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Magic Tree House, and Dr. Seuss. Participants are encouraged to arrive dressed as their favorite story character.
Ventura County Fair Read & Ride Program When: Now to July 15
Ages: Kindergarten-8th grade
Requirement: Read any 2 books and write a 25 word summary for each one (or draw a picture for children ages 6 and under. Rewards: 3 free ride tickets for the fair (6 tickets for 4 books read)

Ventura County Library "Make a Splash" Reading Program When: June 13 to August 13
Ages: Kindergarten-12th grade
Requirement: Sign up at your local library. Record your reading time.
