Our school has been asked to participate in the Bag for a Bench Challenge, starting April 25^th  through May 18th. Our school is invited to collect as many plastic bags as possible and take them to the Albertsons located at North Ventura Road and Doris Street, in hopes of being one of the 10 top schools to recycle the most plastic bags. The top ten Oxnard schools that collect the most plastic bags will receive two new TREX benches made from recycled bags, and $1,000.00 in Albertsons gift cards. I hope we can communicate the importance of recycling to our students and this contest will help reinforce our mutual responsibility of taking care of our environment as well, with a lil competitive twist to it ; )
