In celebration of Earth Day 2012, the “Bag for a Bench” program will challenge Oxnard elementary school students K-6 (and some 6-8th) to collect as many plastic bags as they can throughout their communities starting Wednesday, April 25th through Friday, May 18.
These bags will be deposited in special bins at the North Ventura Road @ Doris Street Albertsons, which will track the school’s progress.
The top ten schools that collect the most plastic bags at the end of the three-week challenge will receive two new TREX benches (which are made from plastic bags) and $1,000 in Albertsons gift cards!!!
En la celebración del Día de la Tierra de 2012, la "bolsa para un banco" programa retará a los estudiantes de la escuela primaria en Oxnard K-6 (y algunos del 6 al 8) para recoger la mayor cantidad de bolsas de plástico ya que pueden a través de sus comunidades a partir Miércoles, 25 de abril hasta el viernes , 18 de mayo.
