Ms. Sweet grew up in Sacramento, Ca where she decided she wanted to be a teacher by age 11. She has attended UCSB with a BA in English and Spanish, CSU Sacramento for a teaching credential, and The College of Charleston for an MA in English.

She has been teaching K-8 for 18 years in the Ventura County area, specializing in Journalism for the past 4 years in Oxnard.
