Budget Advisory Committee (BAC)
Overview
The Oxnard School District Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) is an advisory body that supports the Superintendent by enhancing communication, providing opportunities for stakeholder input on the budgetary process, and offering feedback during periods of fiscal planning and constraint.
The committee does not make policy decisions nor manage or direct the District; final budget decisions remain the responsibility of the Board of Trustees.

Purpose and Objectives
The purpose of the Budget Advisory Committee is to promote transparency and understanding of the District’s financial condition and budget development process. The committee’s objectives include:
- Gathering and providing input from represented stakeholder groups
- Developing a general understanding of District revenue sources and expenditures
- Increasing familiarity with the District’s budget development process
- Formulating budget considerations and recommendations for the Superintendent
- Communicating information and updates back to the groups each member represents
Committee Membership
Members are appointed annually by the Superintendent or designee and serve during the 2026 calendar year.
