Material Safety Data Sheets
Cal/OSHA California Code Regulations 8, Section 5194 Hazard Communications Standard (HCS) requires that employers provide each employee direct access to Material Safety Data Sheets for each chemical present in his/her workplace. Material Safety Data Sheets are intended to provide detailed chemical information regarding occupational exposure, emergecy medical treatment, and environmental risks for products used in Oxanard School District kitchens.

HACCAP Plan
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, or HACCP is a systematic preventive approach to food safety, from biolgial, chemical and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finished product to be unsafe and designs measures to reduce these risks to a safe level. In this manner, HACCP attempts to avoid hazards rather than attempting to inspect finished products for the effects of those hazards.
