Parent Meetings: Descriptions and Dates

To build stronger, more positive relationships with our diverse families, our district offers parents/guardians opportunities to participate in the following parent advisory groups.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA): Help increase family involvement and fundraising through activities and events at your school.

English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC): Parents of English learners meet at their school to advocate for the academic, social-emotional, and cultural needs of their children.

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC): Parents of English learners meet at the district level to advocate for the academic, social-emotional, and cultural needs of their children.

Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP): This group of parents and the community participates at the district level in conversations and decisions about how funds should be used for programs and resources for all students.

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC): A representative from each school meets with the Superintendent to advise and provide suggestions on general district policies.

---

School Site Council (SSC): Advises and participates in decision making on the general policies of your school.

---

Community Special Education Community Council: Advises on reading instruction and how to support literacy skills at home and general supports for positive behavior at home and functional skills lessons for students participating in the special education program.
