About Our Department
The Department of Pupil Services supports the whole child — partnering with schools and families across Oxnard School District to keep students healthy, safe, and engaged in learning. Whether a family needs help with attendance, health, enrollment, accommodations, or basic needs, our team is here to connect them with the right support.
What We Do
Pupil Services proudly serves OSD families in these important areas:
Attendance & SARB
Promotes strong, consistent attendance and oversees the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) process.
Behavior & Counseling
Supports student behavior, counseling, and discipline through Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS).
Enrollment & Registration
Helps families enroll and register their students in the district.
Family Needs
Connects families with resources for clothing, housing, and food.
Health
Coordinates behavioral, dental, hearing, medical, and vision health support for students.
School Safety
Oversees school safety, disaster response, and School Resource Officers (SROs).
Section 504
Provides disability accommodations for students not covered by an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Special Programs
Serves students who are homeless,* in foster care,* or part of migrant families.
