Report Card Schedule 2026–2027
The tables below show report card input windows, Q system downtime, and mailing dates for both the TK–5 and 6–8 school calendars. TK–8 schools use both calendars according to the appropriate grade-level span.

Notes & Rationale
- There are two separate calendars — one for TK–5 and another for 6–8. TK–8 schools use both calendars according to the appropriate grade-level span.
- If students are missing, check with the Site Attendance Tech — there may have been a scheduling issue.
- The input/edit window must close before report cards go home, to ensure report cards are complete.
- The Office Manager has access to open report cards, after the window closes, for any necessary changes.
- Weekends are available as an input option.
- Q is managed through VCOE, so it is not available (including access to report cards) during scheduled VCOE maintenance weekends. These are typically the second weekend of each month and are shown in the schedule above.
- For Trimesters 1 and 2, the maintenance weekend falls in the middle of the input window.
- The Trimester 3 window must end on Friday, June 11, because the maintenance weekend begins at 8:00pm that day.
- Trimester 2 ends the same day its input/edit window opens.
- Because of when Spring Break starts, the report card window has to end on Thursday, March 18, so report cards can go home on Friday, March 19.
- For grade 6–8 teachers, grade passback in Canvas closes on the last day of the input/edit window.
- Trimester 3 begins March 8. Between March 6–19, Canvas users can toggle between Trimester 2 and Trimester 3 on the Assignments page and in the Canvas Gradebook — review the Canvas due dates and considerations for this period before the window opens.
- The official last day of Trimester 3 is the last day of school, but the last day to enter grades is earlier — see the table above.
For Grades 6–8 Only
- In Trimester 2, the D & F Progress Report window opens and closes earlier in the year, giving teachers more time to schedule conferences before Feb 4–5.
- The input/edit window is for entering grades into the report card. Grades can be calculated and entered into Gradebook before the input/edit window opens.
- Time is added after report cards are completed so the office can print and mail them home.
- In Trimester 3, 8th-grade due dates are earlier because GPA processing and parent notification must happen before promotion, which can occur as early as Friday, June 11.
- The June 1 closing date gives sites only 7 days to calculate GPA and notify families.
- June 1 is a Tuesday and the day after Memorial Day.
- 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade teachers can only input/edit grades during their respective windows.
Special Education
- SpEd report cards/progress reports of goals should be ready to share at parent conferences for Trimester 1.
- SDC — report cards and progress reports of goals must be completed during each trimester's input/editing window.
- RSP — progress reports of goals must be completed during each trimester's input/editing window and be ready to include with the mailing/distribution of general education report cards.
