Dr. Danielle Jefferson, Psy.D., serves as the Director of Special Education for the Oxnard School District. In this role, she provides strategic leadership and oversight of all special education programs and services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while advancing the district’s commitment to educational excellence and inclusion.
Dr. Jefferson holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree, a professional doctorate emphasizing the application of psychological principles to real-world challenges in education, leadership, and human development. This training grounds her work in both evidence-based practice and compassionate, student-centered leadership.
She brings extensive experience in the fields of school psychology, special education administration, and systems-level reform. Her professional focus centers on implementing evidence-based practices that support equitable access to high-quality educational opportunities for students with disabilities.
