Occupational Therapists

School-based Occupational Therapy focuses on supporting students' ability to participate and succeed in their educational environment. They address academic and functional skills related to school-based needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Examples of areas addressed by a school-based Occupational Therapist include: fine motor skill development, visual motor integration, motor planning for functional skills, environmental modifications for student needs, and sensory integration as it relates to educational access and a student’s ability to be “ready to learn.”
