     Oxnard School District is currently experiencing supply chain issues.  This is a nationwide problem. We are working on strategies to mitigate the impact on our students. In addition, Ventura County Environmental Health regulations have altered some of our standard service systems.

     

    We apologize to students who are experiencing slow lunch lines and last-minute menu changes.  As we navigate this challenging time, we appreciate your patience and understanding. For the most up to date information related to daily menu options at your school, please contact your child’s school directly.

    Actualmente el Distrito Escolar de Oxnard está experimentando problemas en la cadena de suministro.  Esto es un problema a nivel nacional. Estamos trabajando en estrategias para mitigar el impacto en nuestros estudiantes. Además, las regulaciones de Salud Ambiental del Condado de Ventura han alterado algunos de nuestros sistemas de servicio estándar.

  • Child Nutrition Services is committed to providing healthy school meals and snacks to the students of Oxnard School District in order to support student academic success and promote healthful eating habits that lead to lifelong positive nutrition practices. We provide more than 17,500 meals and snacks per day to students and staff throughout the district, and employ more than 130 team members.

    School meals are served to students under the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Meals and snacks are also served through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Seamless Summer Option and the Child and Adult Care Feeding Program. Following the nutrition guidelines prescribed by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, we serve whole-grain rich products; low fat and fat free milk; 100% fruit and/or vegetable juices; and a variety of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables
