Juan Soria School strives to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for students that are interested in participating in athletic competition. The purpose of our athletics program is to teach sportsmanship and physical fitness.
In order to be eligible to tryout, students must provide a permission slip signed by their parent or guardian. Parents or community members that are interested in coaching must first be a cleared volunteer through the district office. Potential coaches have to provide a cleared TB test, finger prints at the district office, CPR trained, and pass concussion and cardiac arrest online courses. All students who participate in sports programs with the Oxnard School District should also provide a clear physical in addition to a permission slip.
Are you interested in learning more about sports in general? Please attend a parent meeting Wednesday August 22 6PM in the school library.
