Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Schultz

Welcome to Fremont Intermediate School! My name is Mrs. Schultz and this year I will be teaching eighth grade math and math honors. I am so excited that you will be in my class this year as this is my second year at this school after having taught middle school math within Ventura County! I know we are going to enjoy this year together.

**** Please Note:  I use Parent Connect for all assignments and updates that take place in my classroom.

About Me

I live in Newbury Park with my husband Ron and two boys. I have a 12 year old named Lance and an 16 year old named Blake. I also have a two dogs (Tanner and Kayla) and cat (Cleo) who is 20! Our family loves to play outside, go on trips and spend time together goofing off. I also enjoy music, reading, exercising, skiing, water sports and water-rafting, and hiking.

Email is the best form of communication. I will also make notes on Parent Connect as to any concerns I may have or if I’d like to meet with you. Each student will have an agenda where they can copy the daily schedule, classwork, and homework assignments in. Please feel free to contact me via email for questions, comments, or concerns. I welcome your thoughts and am looking forward to working together to make your seventh or eighth grade a successful year!

Classroom Behavior Plan

On the first day of school, we will review classroom and behavior expectations. Generally, if you break a school rule, you will lose points. If you break a classroom rule, you will recieve a warning and I may call / contact parents. I expect a safe and cooperative working environment where every student is able to participate without feeling bullied, nervous, or insecure. I do not tolerate rude behavior, inappropriate language, or purposeful classroom disruptions. I understand that sometimes we all make mistakes. So, one of the first topics we discuss is “Every Day is a New Opportunity to Be Your Personal Best”.

A few expectations:

  • Follow the directions the first time
  • Raise hand to speak
  • Be in your seat and ready for class when the bell rings
  • Have proper materials and homework each day
  • Respect others and be kind with your words and actions
  • Always give your best effort and be ‘on task’
  • Use indoor voice

Drinks, Food, & Snacks

There is no food allowed in my room. You may have a water-filled container next to your desk. If you have a snack before my class, it must be finished before you enter my room.
