Dear RJ Frank families

Dear RJ Frank families,

As educators, we are deeply committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. We understand the concerns and challenges surrounding racism in our schools, and we want to assure you that we are dedicated to addressing this issue head-on here at RJ Frank. As Dr. DeGenna mentioned in her District message, racism or hate speech has no place in our school or any educational community, and we are actively working to implement measures to combat it. At RJ Frank, we are deeply committed to fostering an environment where every child feels safe, respected, and valued.  This includes fostering open dialogue, promoting empathy, and following the “golden rule”, which simply put, means to treat other people nicely. We encourage you to join us in this important endeavor by engaging in conversations about racism or hate speech with your children at home and supporting our efforts to promote fairness, acceptance, and unity within our school community. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and build a school culture that celebrates diversity and embraces the uniqueness of every individual.

We know this is the first step, but it is an important one. Together we can make a difference and will.

Mr. Higa - School Principal
